Electrical Engineering is a stream of Engineering which is vastly spread in all daily life work routine appliances and surrounding. Electrical Engineers are trying for many public sector and private sector jobs but unaware of important questions that are asked from freshers.
We are providing many of the important Interview questions for Electrical Engineering freshers online free. You must check out these free online Electrical Engineering Questions and Answers also for freshers for your help in complete preparation.
Electrical Engineering Interview Questions and Answers for Freshers Free Online –
Question What is a System?
Ans. – Connection of group of elements and components in a sequence to perform an explicit type of functionality is called a System.
Question What is Control System?
Ans. – In a System the output and inputs are interconnected in such a way that the output quantity or variable is measured by input amount, and then such a system is called Control System.
Question What are the different types of Control System?
Ans. – There are mainly two types of Control Systems:
a) Open loop control system – is one in which the Output Quantity has no effect on the Input Quantity. No feedback is an existing from the output quantity to the input quantity for correction.
b) Closed loop control system – is one in which the feedback is provided to the input quantity from the Output quantity for the improvement so as to retain the desired output of the system.
Question Why negative feedback is preferred in control system?
Ans. – From the output feedback is send to the input and compare output signal with input signal for error detection. Negative Feedback is more considerable because its results in the more stable to the system and discards any disruption signals and is less sensitive to the parameter variations.
Question What is latching current?
Ans. – To trigger the thyristor ON in safe mode, the gate signal is to be applied to the thyristor. When they thyristor begin directing the forward current above the minimum cost, called Latching current.
Question What is holding current?
Ans. – When scr is directing current in forward transmission state, scr will return to onward blocking stage when the anode current or forward current drops below a low level called Holding current.
Question What are different losses that occur in thyristor while operating?
Ans. – There are few losses that are -
a) Forward passage losses during transmission of the thyristor.
b) Loss due to outflow recent during forward and reverse blocking.
c) Power loss at gate or Gate generating loss.
d) Switching harms at turn-on and turn-off.
Question What is meant by knee point voltage?
Ans. – Knee point voltage is considered for electrical Current transformers and is very necessary issue to choose a CT. It is the voltage at which a CT gets saturated.
Question What is reverse power relay?
Ans. – Reverse Power flow relay are used in producing station’s protection. A creating station is made-up to feed power to the grid. In case generating units are off, there is no generation in the plant then plant may take power from grid. To end the flow of power from net to generator we custom reverse power relay.
Question What is the power factor of an alternator at no load?
Ans. – Synchronous Impedance (at no load) of the alternator is liable for generating angle difference. So it must be zero lagging like inductor.
Question What is the function of anti-pumping in circuit breaker?
Ans. -During breaker is stop at one time by close push button, the anti-pumping contactor avoid closing the breaker by close push button after if it previously closed.
Question What is SF6 Circuit Breaker?
Ans. – SF6 stands for Sulpher hexa Flouride gas. If this gas is used as arc slaking standard in a Circuit Breaker means SF6 CB.
Question Mention the methods for starting an induction motor?
Ans. – methods of starting induction motor are:
a)DOL: direct online starter
b)Star delta starter
c)Auto transformer starter
e)Series reactor starter
