Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous body which is formed by the central government to recruit candidates for the 20 nationalized banks. Earlier all the banks were conducting their own exams but after the formation of IBPS only one Common Written Examination is taken through which all nationalized banks hire employees.

In PO, Clerk and SO there are some common sections like: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English.

Quantitative Aptitude

In this section there are basic questions from class 9th and 10th. If one does all topics related to class 8th, 9th and 10th then that candidate will not face any difficulty in clearing the exam.

Some important topics of maths are Average, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Cube and cube roots, Square and square roots etc

Reasoning:

It is the scoring section for all if this section is attempted carefully one can score 100% marks in this section.

English:

In this you have to do a little bit extra efforts if you want to get good marks.

You can practice English from class 10th book “wren n martin” it is also called the bible of English if you read it carefully then nobody can stop you from scoring in English portion and get good marks.

This section can be prepared from any good book in which good content is available including news paper and magazines. This section does not come in Specialist Officer Exam.
