Educational Qualification Required
Applicants who want to apply for IAS should possess the Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects among Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering or an equivalent qualification from any recognised University with having good academic records.
- a candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
Age limit of the aspirants must be between 21 to 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. Age relaxation will be applicable for the SC/ST/OBC applicants.

Career after IAS
In India, IAS considered to be very high Post and students who qualify this Exam will have excellent career as after clearing IAS mostly Officers start their career in the state administration at the sub-divisional level as a sub divisional magistrate commonly known as District Magistrate, District Collector, or Deputy Commissioner.
